Board and Care homes are private residences adapted to meet state inspection standards. These smaller settings are ideal for seniors with specific physical needs, such as macular degeneration or dementia. With a maximum of six residents per home, these homes provide more personalized care and attention. The environment is more familial, offering a sense of “home” rather than a hotel-like atmosphere. Unlike larger Assisted Living Communities, which are state-regulated, these homes offer a more intimate care experience.
Residential homes: More intimate setting with closer supervision 4 or 6 seniors in a home with 2 or 3 caregivers on-site.
